Lynk&Co reveals third model - and yes, it’s called ‘03’

The nomenclature of Volvo's sister brand can hardly be considered original, let alone trendsetting. Fortunately, everything else about Lynk&Co is groundbreaking and disruptive, as CEO Alain Visser explains in an interview with Fleet Europe.

The '03' is a sedan and joins the expanding range of the Chinese car manufacturer, which has been operational since last year and will come to Europe and the States in 2019. Like his brothers, the 03 sits on the same platform as the Volvo XC40, which rolls off the assembly line in the Belgian city of Ghent.

The engines are also shared with Volvo. The entry-level petrol is the 1.5-liter T3 with three cylinders, which can receive electric assistance in its electrified form. Higher up in the range we find the 2.0-four-cylinder that carries the T4 badge in Volvoland. The production 03 will be shown to the public at the Chengdu Motor Show next month.
