Geotab Go gets military-grade cybersecurity label

Global IoT and connected transportation specialist Geotab announces that its cryptographic module within its GO vehicle tracking device has been awarded FIPS 140-2 validation by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), with certificate #3371.

As the first telematics company to achieve this standard, Geotab joins the ranks of the world’s most trusted brands, demonstrating its commitment to ensuring the security, privacy, and integrity of its customers over the long term.

Fips 140-2 validation is the benchmark for cryptographic modules protecting sensitive information in computer and telecommunication systems for U.S. Government, Canadian Government, and military use.

Geotab manages the entire technology stack from the in-cab hardware and embedded firmware used to encrypt and transmit data, to the secure server-side hosting and software applications.
