BYD providing EV corporate car sharing in Brazil

As the concept of car sharing grows in Brazil, local energy company Enel has actually started using an electric vehicle (EV) built by Chinese automaker BYD for this purpose, according to Adalberto Maluf who is BYD’s director of marketing, sustainability and new business in Latin America.

“The e5 sedan (pictured) is being used for corporate car-sharing for executives and employees,” Maluf told Global Fleet in an interview, explaining however that most of BYD fleets in Brazil are aimed at supplying specific workers which drive a lot such as salespeople or commercial and post sales representatives.

In Latin America, BYD’s main market is Brazil. However, it also supports marketing and after sales activities in Chile, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Uruguay, Panama, and Costa Rica.
