Welcome to Global Fleet advisory board Latin America

Two more have joined the Global Fleet advisory board Latin America, being Kay Saunders (pictured left) global fleet manager for the Volvo Car Group and Franz Fehlner (pictured right) who heads international fleet for German-based company Allianz Technology.

Established in 1927, the Volvo Car Group is based in Gothenburg Sweden and owned by Zhejiang Geely Holding of China. Well known for its safety and its plans for an all-electric future, it has Scandinavian roots with manufacturing in Sweden, Belgium China, and soon to be in the United States.

“This may sound selfish but I joined the board to raise awareness of the Volvo profile and gain better insight into the region,” says Saunders.

“I also want to learn about the needs of fleet operators and make sure that we can deliver on these needs,” the executive said, adding that she wants to have a say in the direction the market should be heading.
In the eyes of Volvo, consumers should look toward safer cars with better standards as, in the long-run, this helps lower TCO as well as saves lives. It’s not only about selling cars, but also about helping people and creating innovative ideas that support growth and development.
As for Allianz Technology, which is the internal shared services provider for the Allianz insurance and asset management group, it offers reinsurance services, as well as traditional policies such as car, transport, industrial, and private insurance.

With offices in more than 70 countries and partners in other locations, Allianz is able to serve clients in over 210 countries and territories worldwide. Its fleet cars are used for benefit as well as business functionality.

I’d just like to say that it is a pleasure to be part of the Board and I am hoping that my expertise and knowledge will bring valuable contributions when discussing issues about this great region,” says Fehlner.

“Moreover, I am looking forward to the valuable exchange of ideas and best practices for solutions which I will get from our discussions,” the executive said.

Currently, the Global Fleet advisory board LatAm consists of 20 professionals, including key players from vehicle leasing and fleet management companies, OEMs, consultancy firms, as well as suppliers and fleet managers.
