Top Gear star Richard Hammond reveals LeasePlan's vision for the future of mobility

What's Next in Mobility? LeasePlan has an answer to that question, and it will be launched today in a vision statement by Richard Hammond, of Top Gear and Grand Tour fame.

The new major campaign by the global lease company – LeasePlan manages 1,7 million vehicles in more than 30 countries - will highlight its commitment to become a leader in the rapidly transforming mobility landscape, especially when it comes to the fast-emerging 'car-as-a-service' trend. In the campaign's own words, LeasePlan aims to offer its customers 'Any Car, Anywhere, Anytime'.

What's Next is both a campaign and a brand, and both will be going live from today across all of LeasePlan's 32 markets. All will be revealed in What's Next: the Movie, a 3-minute film featuring Richard Hammond, shot in downtown Los Angeles.

SME and EV product
As part of the campaign, LeasePlan is launching a number of innovative products and services. These include 'LeasePlan Click & Drive', aimed at the SME segment; and an end-to-end EV proposition for the corporate segment. The latter product underlines LeasePlan's commitment, as a founding partner of the EV100 initiative, to transition to a fully electric fleet. In the coming weeks and months, further products and services will be launched under LeasePlan's What's Next brand.

“We are living through a mega-change, in which people are moving from car ownership to car usage via subscription”, says LeasePlan CEO Tex Gunning. “In this fast-changing world, we aim to be the company that stands for What's Next”.
