Fleet Europe Hall of Fame 2021: time to vote!

The Fleet Europe Fleet Hall of Fame brings together fleet professionals who have made a significant contribution to the development of international fleet and mobility management, not just by serving their own corporate fleets extremely well, but also by elevating standards and expectations in the wider industry.

This year, we have four nominees. And they are all global corporate fleet managers. Who will be the one to enter the Fleet Europe Hall of Fame?

Huub SMEETS

Global Procurement Lead for Fleet and Travel, Philip Morris International

Huub’s long track record in the mobility industry stretches back a long way, to 1984 at Philips, right around the time they invented the compact disc. In fact, he started out in Travel – and once was President of the Dutch Travel Association – and moved to Fleet, which has given him a good perspective on the benefits of bringing Fleet and Travel together. In his current role, he manages a very complex global fleet of 24,000 vehicles, operating across all regions, including many challenging markets with a diverse mix of cars, motorcycles, and other mobility solutions.

Ivor JOHNSON

Global Fleet Services Senior Director, Pfizer

Ivor has been a corporate fleet executive at Pfizer since 2008. It’s a role for which he received Fleet Europe’s International Fleet Manager of the Year Award in 2011. His role has since expanded to global level where he is now managing a fleet of 16,000 vehicles, and he has successfully introduced an innovative procurement setup, guiding a strategy that finely balances global guidelines with regional and local market realities. His global vision extends to the whole industry, where he is a long-standing advocate for the further professionalisation of the business.

Andy LEEDEN

Associate Director Fleet & Mobility, AstraZeneca

Andy is the kind of person you want around in a crisis: dependable, calm, and brimming with expertise. All qualities that make him well liked and highly regarded in the industry. For AstraZeneca, which has a global fleet of 17,000 vehicles, he has developed a solid global strategy grounded in facts, with a clear vision on innovation and in particular sustainability. He was one of the pioneers in moving to low- and zero-emission vehicles, not just in Europe but also the U.S. In 2016, he won Fleet Europe’s International Fleet Manager of the Year award, and in 2019 the International Green Fleet Manager of the Year Award.

Alexandra MELVILLE

Global Car Fleet & Mobility Category Lead, Accenture

At Accenture, Alexandra successfully developed the international dimension of the company’s fleet and mobility programme. She is well known as a frontrunner and early adopter of innovation in sustainable mobility which won her Fleet Europe’s Smart Mobility Award in 2017. She currently manages a global fleet of more than 16,000 vehicles. Some of her key attention points are employee satisfaction and stakeholder engagement. In 2020, she was the first-ever corporate fleet manager to be the jury president of the Fleet Europe Awards.

The votes are now closed. Join us to discover who will be the 2021 inductee during the Awards Ceremony on 10th November.
