GM enters used-car market with CarBravo

In the U.S., GM is launching CarBravo, a platform where customers can access both dealers' inventories and a national central stock of used GM vehicles. The system will be available for customers by spring.

CarBravo will offer used vehicles online, at the dealership or both - including non-GM used vehicles. The platform is designed to improve customer experience in terms of shopping, buying, and ownership, and this by providing used-vehicle customers access to a broad inventory.

The platform will be supported by GM's new Digital Retail Platform (DRP), providing customers with a transparent and straightforward shopping interface. On DRP, customers can check the dealership prices, vehicle history reports and view the vehicles in 360-degrees.

All the cars offered on CarBravo will be inspected to meet the standards set by the automaker. Customers can also receive guaranteed online offers from the Black Book tool to buy vehicles even without using CarBravo.

CarBravo will include a standard warranty coverage on all vehicles and provide comprehensive service and maintenance through a U.S.-wide network of dealers. The ownership benefits include roadside service, courtesy transportation and OnStar, the in-vehicle safety and security systemsi. Another benefit offered throughout the ownership lifecycle will be a three-month free trial of the SiriusXM entertainment system, for eligible vehicles.

At-home test drives and home deliveries aim to boost the modern shopping and buying experience. Currently expanding the dealership network through the U.S., the consumer launch of CarBravo is expected to begin in spring 2022.
