Bieger global fleet manager at Catholic Relief Services

Michael Bieger, BA, MA, has been appointed global fleet manager at Catholic Relief Services (CRS), the international humanitarian agency of the Catholic community in the United States. The appointment is effective from the start of November. 

Based in Baltimore, CRS provides assistance to 130 million people in more than 90 countries and territories in Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Middle East and Eastern Europe.

Mr Bieger (pictured) previously held several executive positions with management services company ADP, including Director of Fleet Management (2005-2009) and Senior Director of Global Procurement (2009-2018); and with pharmaceutical company Hoffman La Roche, as Fleet Manager (1995-2002) and Category Management Procurement (2002-2005). He continues in his role as Managing Partner at Black River Fleet, a fleet management company based in Pompton Lakes, New Jersey. 

Mr Bieger is a regular contributor to industry trade publications and presenter at industry functions, including the Global Fleet Conference in Miami. In 2016-17, he served a term as the President of the Automotive Fleet and Leasing Association (AFLA). He has been on numerous supplier client boards; from Wheels Client Steering Council, both GE’s Client Advisory and their Technology Board, GM's Client Sounding Board and AFLA’s corporate fleet council.
