Unidas inks deal to acquire Arrow e-van fleet in Brazil

Brazilian vehicle leasing company Unidas has closed a deal to buy 100 Arrow One electric vans from local startup Arrow Mobility.
To be manufactured in Caxias do Sul in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, the first units will be delivered to Unidas in October 2022. They will be used to deliver e-commerce products.
“In partnership with Arrow One, we will offer several specific and customized concepts for online commerce, all while being 100% electric and emitting zero carbon emissions,” local news service Exame reported Unidas head of fleet Breno Davis Campolina as saying.
With a 17m3 cargo area, Arrow One utilizes a concept called “Walk-in-Van” which gives driver access to cargo internally and a loading system known as One Shot Loader which allows for quick loading. It has a range of 250km and a 3-hour charging time.
Compared to diesel vehicles, Arrow One is 50% more productive and benefits from 70% less energy cost, according to Unidas.
In related news, JAC Motors has launched its iEV750 VIP passenger van for R$479,900 (US$91,900) and Citroën has announced its 2021 ë-Jumpy van in the country.
