Morocco Post to use electric Citroën AMI

The PSA Group and Barid Al Maghrib, the Moroccan postal service, have signed an agreement to develop a version of the fully electric Citroën Ami to be used as a parcel delivery vehicle.

The car is the first electric car to be produced in Morocco, in the PSA plant in Kénitra.

The Ami will be used to deliver mail and parcels across the country. In all, Barid Al Maghrib plans to order 225 electric cars, as the company is committed to realising its ambitions in terms of reducing its environmental footprint.

The Citroën Ami has an electric range of 75km and a top speed of 45km/h, making it an ideal urban delivery vehicle. It can be recharged in 3 hours on a standard domestic power outlet.
