Volkswagen ramps up SUV offering in China

Next to the SUV-Coupe electric Roomzz, Volkswagen has more good news for the SUV aficionado as the Teramont X joins the VW family. It’s a full size vehicle with a bit of a sloped roofline. The car is based on the Atlas Cross Sport Concept, displayed at the New York Auto Show in 2018.

The production model is not too much different from the concept, although it has abandoned the massive grille and LED strips. The model shown at Auto Shanghai is a 3.6-liter V6 in 4Motion. There is no information about other powertrains.

Not much is known either about production and availability outside of China; we only know that the Chinese consumers can place their order from May onwards.
