Carlos Ghosn arrested in Tokyo for financial misconduct

One of the world's top automotive executives has been accused of underreporting his earnings and using corporate assets for personal use, Reuters reports. According to Japanese media, the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office has arrested Ghosn. It is uncertain at this point what assets Ghosn might have misued

On Monday morning, Nissan and Mitsubishi announced it would be removing Carlos Ghosn from his chairman's post resp. board of directors. The Japanese automaker said that based on a whistleblower report, it had been investigating possible improper practices of Ghosn and Representative Director Greg Kelly for several months, and that it was fully cooperating with investigators.
