Volvo Cars names Michael Cottone President USA, Canada operations

Volvo Cars has named 22-year company veteran Michael Cottone as president of Volvo Car USA and Canada, taking over for Anders Gustafsson who led the region from 2018.

Mr. Cottone was previously Vice President of the US western region from 2Q16-1Q23, leading sales & marketing operations for Volvo franchises from Chicago to as far west as Guam. He is reporting to Björn Annwall, chief commercial officer & deputy CEO for Volvo Cars.

The new leadership - starting March 2023 - is occurring just as new federal government legislation kicks off, pushing for US made vehicles as well as electrified models, a growing transformation that Volvo Cars is currently focusing on.
