Ralf Speth steps down as Jaguar Land Rover CEO

Ralf Speth, who has been leading Jaguar Land Rover since 2010, has decided to retire from his position in September of this year, when he turns 65. JLR has formed a committee to look for a successor.

Mr Speth (pictured), who started his automotive career at BMW and also worked for Ford’s Premier Automotive Group, led Jaguar Land Rover after they were acquired by Tata Motors. He led the carmaker on a path of global expansion.

Mr Speth will remain on the board of Tata Sons, the holding company of Tata Motors. He will also become non-executive Vice Chairman at Jaguar Land Rover.
