Hyundai launches online car buying facility in USA

Hyundai has shaken up the new car purchasing process for private buyers in the USA with a new online car buying service that enables customers to avoid visiting a dealership.

The manufacturer says its Shopper Assurance programme makes car buying easy, with transparent up front pricing and the option to arrange for a test drive vehicle to be delivered to home or work, rather than collected from a dealer.

Cars will still be supplied by local participating dealers, which will list online their stock and prices, including any discounts or incentives.

Buyers can review and finalise all the details of the acquisition process online, including calculating finance repayments, valuing a trade-in car, and applying for credit.

Then, when everything is approved and the car has been delivered, Hyundai is even offering a three-day money-back guarantee, in case of any last minute change of minds by customers.

“Shopper Assurance is Hyundai's commitment to shorter transaction times, more transparency and improved customer satisfaction through consumer focused online tools and services,” said a spokesman for Hyundai.

The manufacturer plans to roll out Shopper Assurance nationwide in the US.
