Assuring Safety in Latin America at Fleet LatAm Conference 2019

During the 2019 Fleet LatAm Conference to start on September 23 in Mexico City and coninuing on September 24, the second session to be discussed will be focused on corporate fleet safety.

Following a welcome, a keynote on Smart Mobility, and a cocktail reception on Monday, the first morning session on Tuesday will address the keys to internationalising your fleet in Latin America. Starting just after 11am, session two will kick off, focusing on making safety the number one priority in your fleet.

It will start with a talk aimed at helping fleet managers understand the contours of fleet safety in Latin America, addressing issues such as road security and safety, accident rates, cost impacts, and benchmarking the Latam situation against North America and Europe. The session will also cover the importance of implementing driver training solutions to improve the behaviour of your drivers. It will feature testimonials from fleet decision makers which have deployed training programs that have successfully decreased accidents and generate cost savings.

“Training courses, especially face-to-face courses, are a must, and this is especially true in Latin America where the condition of roads and the civility of drivers are not always at its best,” says Mobility Consultant and Fleet Latam advisory board member Jose Luis Criado who will be one of the speakers in the Safety session.

Finally, the session will address how to mandate corporate fleet insurance, covering efficient ways to manage safety issues, the development of a dedicated insurance strategy, and the overall structuring of a fleet insurance program.

As many are driving without insurance in the region, information on the landscape of vehicle insurance as well as the specific insurance services available will also be discussed.

Fleet LatAm conference 2019 will be held at the JW Marriot hotel in Mexico City 23-24 September. It will be followed by Fleet LatAm training on September 25. For more information and registration, click here
