SkedGo launches its fifth Australian MaaS project

SkedGo launches its fifth Australian MaaS project

Established in 2009 to provide solutions to logistical issues, SkedGo has become a leading provider of MaaS solutions in Australia, crowning its place by announcing a collaboration with the City of Darwin to launch the Darwin Journey Planner project.

Under the project, Darwin will incorporate SkedGo's journey planner onto its website, offering travellers a wide range of transport options within the city and surrounding regions. The journey planner includes all public transport and promotes combining these traditional modes with active travel options including walking, cycling and micro mobility.

SkedGo, which provides the fundamentals of MaaS solutions for governments, transit agencies, leading start-ups and corporations, has also partnered with the Canberra Government, Department of Transport and Main Roads with The University of Queensland, Carsales and Optus (Singtel) Australia.

SkedGo is staffed across Europe, the UK, Vietnam, Argentina and Sydney, Australia, providing MaaS solutions to more than 3,500 transport service providers around the world.

After the successful implementation of MaaS solutions in Queensland and Canberra, SkedGo aims to reduce CO2 emissions and congestion in Darwin by utilising the data provided by the journey planner. Transport is the second biggest source of CO2 and the third biggest household expense in Australia, pushing cities like Darwin to get accustomed to MaaS solutions to reduce CO2 emissions and congestion.
