Nissan unveiled the Leaf e+ at CES 2019. With an increased range of 226 miles on a single charge, it can now compete with the Chevrolet Bolt (238 miles) and Tesla Model 3 (310 miles).

The updated version of the Nissan Leaf solved one of the biggest issues of EVs: a limited range, considering the 151 miles of the 2017-version. The Nissan Leaf e+ will have now a range of 226 miles. What's more, it will not only be faster thanks to its upgrade to a 62 kWh battery pack (up from 40 kWh in the previous version), but smarter as well, thanks to the latest in Nissan’s Pro Pilot Assist semi-autonomous assistance technology.

The Nissan Leaf e+ will debut in Japan later in January, and arrive in the US by the spring 2019. Its launch in Europe is supposed to follow some months later, however prices are not known yet.
