Free2Move starts operations in Washington, DC

As announced at this year’s Paris Motor Show, Free2Move Carsharing has started operations in Washington, DC. The service uses 600 free-floating Chevrolet vehicles (200 Equinox and 400 Cruze) that can be booked through an app.

In the US capitol, Free2Move faces competition from rivals like Maven (GM), Car2Go (Daimler), ZipCar (Avis Budget Group). Car2Go vehicles can also be booked through the Free2Move app as PSA’s Michel Stumpe calls both services complementary.
