Microtransit to increase mass transit
Via to Transit will ease first and last mile transportation in southeast Seattle and Tukwila.
The on-demand shuttle service is accessible via phone or through the Via app and will connect ridehailers to any of the five Sound Transit Link light-rail stations, where riders can take bus or train, easing the first and last mile. Even the payment method will be hassle-free by allowing riders to pay with their ORCA card. A ride in the shuttle will be at the same price as a metro ride. Via to Transit has been available in southeast Seattle and Tukwila since April 16. By such the on-demand mirotransit might increase ridership of public transit.
