DPDHL boost logistics services with Google Cloud API services

DPDHL boosts business with cloud services.

Deutsche Post DHL Group's (DPDHL Group) boosted the API transaction process of its logistics services through Google Cloud to meet the ever-increasing demand of customers.

After adopting cloud technology in 2019, the establishment of the API Center of Excellence unleashed the power of API with the solutions provided for developers who use logistics applications.

Cloud technology enables DPDHL customers to access logistics services seamlessly and perform multiple tasks such as booking shipments and tracking packages by integrating their APIs into their systems.

Zero downtime in transactions

DPDHL has also gained zero downtime while reaching a record number of API transactions in the first half of 2021. The volume of API transactions has tripled in the last year, exceeding 1 billion per month.

The global API platform will serve as the foundation of DPDHL Group's digital transformation. Google Cloud capacity will help reduce response times if the requester and data source are at different locations.
