Pointer CBDO joins Fleet LatAm advisory board

One of the key contacts in Latin America for Israel-based vehicle fleet and asset management company Pointer Telocation, Gustavo Ladeira, has just become one of the newest members of the Fleet LatAm advisory board.

"I have been working for more than 10 years in the industry and with my background in engineering (technical and commercial aspects), I could help with the development of new technologies in the region,” says Mr. Ladeira who is chief business development officer in the region.

What the executive feels he will get in return is the opportunity to network with colleagues in the industry, building connections with other advisory board members and gaining support for Pointer’s expansion plans, more specifically in Colombia and Peru.

"I am looking forward to working together with the board and supporting the new initiatives being put together by Fleet LatAm”, Mr. Laderia says.

Pointer Telocation provides services for fleet management, connected cars, asset tracking, and IoT. In Latin America, it provides services for approximately 84,000 vehicles in the three largest markets, being Brazil (50,000 cars connected), Mexico (20,000), and Argentina (14,000). The company intends to be providing services for 100,000 connected cars by year-end 2019.

Its Brazil unit, known as Pointer Cielo, is planning to expand into Colombia and Peru, and other markets. More information will be published by Global Fleet and Fleet LatAm shortly.
