Evergo expanding EV charging offerings in Latin America

Evergo expanding EV charging offerings in Latin America

To push electric vehicles (EV) and electric mobility in Latin America, Dominican Republic-based EV charging solutions company Evergo is expanding its services throughout the region.

Most recently, Evergo has closed a deal with Panamanian bank La Caja de Ahorros which involves installing at least 20 EV chargers at bank agencies throughout Panama. The most advance type being installed is a level 3 charger with a 50kWh capacity and touch screen features.

Meanwhile in Paraguay, the company has partnered with Wallbox Chargers from Spain to install an EV smart charging network in the country. And in Mexico, after acquiring a majority stake in energy supply infrastructure solutions company E-Drive, the company has entered Latin America's second largest automobile market.

In Mexico, the goal is to install more than 15,000 new charging stations in residential, commercial, and public spaces over the next few years.

With a presence in other countries such as the Domininican Republic, Jamaica, Aruba, Puerto Rico, and Uruguay, Evergo has more than 4,000 charging stations in the Latam region.
