Geotab telematics footprint expanding in Latin America

Global telematics company Geotab has surpassed the 200,000-subscriber mark in Latin America, now boasting one of the largest fleet telematics footprints in the region, according to a company release.
"Geotab offers comprehensive solutions that not only connect vehicles to the network, but also provide detailed analysis on driving habits, travel history, risk register, fuel consumption, among other key indicators to safeguard information security, the well-being of road actors and the continuity of the operation," says Latam VP of Sales Juan Cardona.
"This is certainly a nice milestone for us", Vice President, Latin America, Asia, Australia/New Zealand Sean Killen told Global Fleet.
As telematics adoption is less than 20% in Latin America and there are large number of consumer goods, logistics, last mile, and fleet management companies that are looking for alternatives to increase the efficiency of their production processes, there is still much opportunity in the region, according to the 12th edition of the Fleet Management in the Americas report by Berg Insight.
Worldwide, Geotab operates in 150 countries, serving some 40,000 customers with more than 3.2 million vehicle connections and the processing of more than 55 billion data points per day.
