According to the Public Works and Transport Bureau of Phnom Penh, Cambodia, the number of registered vehicles as of July 2018 was 480,000 cars, 1.7 million bikes and 11,000 three-wheeled bikes. The total number of vehicles was approximately 2.2 million, up from 1.8 million in the previous year.

It is said that there are 200 large and small maintenance factories around Phnom Penh. Besides the new car dealers, there are players who provide car maintenance services. It is roughly classified into three players. (1) dealer, (2) modern, (3) traditional.

-- The dealer is a general maintenance factory attached to a new car dealer. It targets customers within the warranty period after the sale of a new car.

-- Modern is mainly a maintenance factory equipped with facilities owned by foreign capital. Including PIT & GO, e-Garage, CAR FRESH, Futaba Garage, K-Fix Automobile, GA Service Center and so on.

-- Traditional is a small family-owned, local daddy-mama shop-like maintenance and repair shop.
